Hello again~
My hippo is eating all of the Chaetomorpha I put in the tank & I have no room for a fuge .
Can I put in in my sump with a small light . The sump is a 10 Gal tank with a wet/dry & skimmer in it .
If so what type of light will it need ?

Home Depot or Lowes both sell a light that looks like a flood light for this. I can't remember the exact wording on the package, but it's something like uses 15watts, puts out 75 watts. It's around $9. You can put it in one of those clamp sockets. Check out my gallery for a pic. It works great. You may be able to find more info. on melevsreef.com.

OK so I got one of the Sylvaina 23 w But outputs 75 w with a clip sockets it is compact flouresent . How many hours will I need to have this light on in the sump for Chaetomorpha to grow. Should I have it on when the tank lights go out ?
Thanks ~!
