Chaetomorpha question...

My Chaetomorpha and the plant that came with my Chaetomorpha, which is very green with grape-like structures is taking over my reefugium. The vine looking plant with bulbs like a bunch of grapes has stuck itself to the glass and other pieces of live rock with polyps on it. Is this bad? Will it damage the polyps? I dont know the correct name of this type of plant. I believe the chaetomorpha is wrapped in side of it.
The Chaetomorpha is dark dark green and hair-like?
The vine like plant with bulbs on it likes to suction/stick onto the grass and live rock. Is this normal? Is this alright? Should the plant be trimmed?

The living space with my Biosediment and live rock and Chaetomorhpa has the dimension of about 12"L x 12"W square.

If anyone would like a large picture of it I will copy and paste it through an email. I dont really know how to post large enough pictures on this forum yet... Under 65kb.

Here is a pic of it in my refugium...
Sorry it's a little small...
Under 50kb??!

Sounds like grape caulerpa. Not necessarily bad, if you confine it to the refugium and use it for nutrient export, but IMO the chaetomorpha is better.

If you want to get rid of the caulerpa, manual removal is your best bet. You'll have to keep after it though, it is very tenacious.
