Shaun Monahan,

I hope you didn't pay $xxx for that piece my friend...I am pretty sure that is the same piece I was looking at.

He agreed to sell it to me for less than xxx but I passed because I didn't want to set the price for those vendor.

It sure is a very nice piece though. Very unique color combination for an echino.

Here's another pic of the same one i just got.

Looking good mustang:)
The first one looks like it needs some love and it will color up for you. The last two are a mycedium cups, right? I like them both, nice score.

How rare are the mycedium cups? I almost bought a green one at my lfs. They called them elephant totus, or something like that.

Got them this morning came in great
Jen the second one is definetly mycedium The last one is much more "fleshy" so I don't think it is
Mac will have frags waiting for ya when you come to the conference

The first one aready looks 100% beterr that pic was when I first got it I have had it about 2 weeks Looks like it might turn out to be dark purple? The guy that had it had it under very low light

Wow, neat one Randy. That's an odd growth form? Is it just the shape of the frag you think?

Hey Kev,
I put this piece in a bright spot in the tank when I first got it and I think it didn't like it, so it grew down the rock. I now keep it in a shaded area. The blueish part is the size of the frag when I got it. The green skirt is new growth. There was a smaller frag on the same rock, which is why you can see a green ring around that piece in the back. Also, the green part is inflated, and curled up towards the light a little. Also, the white specs are color, not skeleton.
BTW, This frag came from Rochester. ;)

I love the way that is growing for you!I just made 2 more frags for some reefers and i might make one more small one,but thats it because i have almost fragged it in half now

Very interesting growth, Randy. I've now moved an Echinophyllia (growing quickly) down to a lower ledge in my aquarium. We'll see what happens.

You guys know why these corals are 'mushroom killers', don't you? (Has to do with the lower reef zone they naturally occur.)

Good point Gary! Makes perfect sense. Explains the sweepers, too!
