Muzz

Nice big mycedium. Keep us updated on the color transformation.

Thank you, it is about 7 plus inches across and the eyes are a sweet baby blue. I have actinics overr the tank it is in, so that is the true color right now. I will let you know how it ends up astime passes. I wonder what color the main body will go to, to me it seems dark purple or maybe even red. Not sure yet though. Or it may stay the way it is.............

ianiwane, what is the watermelon in the last picture you posted? Nice corals and nice camera skills.

It came from a LFS, but its the same chalice that reefready was calling their strawberry watermelon chalice.

Ian, it's awesome how your chalices are touching each other directly, was it just for the photo shoot? All my chalices seem to go on all-out-war mode when other chalices get within a 2'' radius. :(

Vince kind of trial and error with that. So far I only have problems with one chalice stinging things. Good thing its my ugliest one haha. I keep that one tucked back.

LOL :o

I'll start off pg. 18 with some new pics.

I was really surprised to come home last night to see my flying saucer torched by the pumkin patch. The flying sauce has triple the feeders of any feeders I have ever seen and to see what the pumpkin patch did, I was really surprised/ and saddened :(

The colors look similar, but I think those are 2 different species of echino, judging from the texture/implied underlying skeleton. But then again, could be... I'll take frags of both to be on the safe side.

Yikes, :( is there enough left of the flying saucer to bring it back to life? I'm surprised that your pumpkin patch became aggressive, it's the most passive in my tank getting its butt kicked around by Mummy Eye and Emerald Mummy Eye.

There should be enough. It had gotten close to 3" in diameter and I was just getting ready to make a couple frags; oh well

That sucks Mark. Your flying saucer was really nice. I know how you feel man. For me an acan echinata fell down, it nuked 1/3 of a watermelon, 1/3 of the tiger stripe chalice, and 1/2 of another watermelon. It hit the trifecta, I was so ****ed I didn't look in the tank for the rest of the day. lol

It's not the feeders you have to worry about it's the filament (spelling??) They actually secrete there insides (kinda like stomach acid). Chalices and Acan Echinata's seem to be the deadliest for me!! All though for the first time I did have an acro take out a Favia???
