Changeing ballast and bulb

Going from hamy reto i think it is a 58 250w with a 20k hamy. To 250w dimmable lumatex HQI with a raduim should i cut back the time of the halide. so the sps won't burn. I run 8 hours a day. With that bulb and ballast will it be brighter and more blue.

Well you could always dim it down using the new dimming feature...I've been curious as to how noticeable the dimming is with that ballast.
