Chattering 6025 pump

Hi Roger. I have two of these 6025 powerheads. One runs quiet and the other is very noisy. I inspected the units and discovered that the quiet one has a shaft that remains still and fixed to the motor. The noisy pump has a loose shaft that came out with the propellar. I tried to reseat the shaft, and it was quiet for two days.

Is there a permanent way to resolve this problem?

Should the shaft stay in the motor permanatly?

Yes it should stay in permanently. The best thing to do is send it in, we replace the complete pump.
