Hello,
My Tunze Wavebox had been working fine for about six months but recently the pump started making a chattering noise and the flow generated by the pump was no longer capable of sustaining a wave.
I took the pump out to clean it. I didn't notice any buildup on the impeller or housing but went ahead and soaked it in vinegar and cleaned it per the instrutions in this forum. The problem persisted after cleaning, however I noticed that if I dialed down the screw knob all the way the impeller chattering will cease. It can generate a wave in this setting but with the power of the pump dialed down all the way, the wave is not very impressive. When I try to increase the power using the screw knob, the intermittent chattering will resume and the wave will be disrupted and diminished.
Thank you for your assistance.
