Cheap Gate Valves

Anyone know where to get some cheap gate valves? Don't wanna spend $36.00 a piece for them at BRS

Try Home Depot. I would swear i've gotten some full plastic gate valves at Home Depot before, although there website doesn't show them.

just another option... google "King Brothers PVC Gate Valve" - they are white schedule 40

OSH Suppy has them for $ 9.00 and up sxs thats were i get mine 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", and 1 1/2"

All I can say about gate valves is you will get what you pay for, in terms of quality, and how long it will be before they start leaking. The valve stem especially. The higher priced sch 80 valves, are going to be better, and with Viton seals--will not leak as soon, as those with EPDM seals; and the better valves can be taken apart and the seals replaced, rather than having a disposable valve. Hunting up a good price on a quality valve is a better deal, and aquarium suppliers don't always have the best price, though sometimes they do.

I've used the cheap ones before, even the King Brothers. I eventually ended up using a Spears. It was more expensive and I never had problems with my others, but this one is nicer and can be taken apart.
