You should pay around 420.00 plus tax for a AGA
and 604.00 plus tax for a Oceanic

Is this for a reef ready tank? I recently paid $315 for an AGA 120 with 2 holes drilled.

i should have made it more clear in my opriginal post, it needs to have dual overflows. which adds $100 to the cost of the tank, from what the places i got quotes from told me.

ill call the place in elyria tomorrow.

anyone else?
im also up for a used 120 if i can find it

thanks

$475-$500 for a RR AGA 120 is a good price. It depends on the finish. Black is cheaper than Oak. Don't forget you'll need to add two over flow kits at about $60.00 each.

I don't understand why AGA sells their RR tanks without the kits. Kind of like selling a car and charging extra for the steering wheel.

AGA and Oceanic tanks are built different. Oceanic tanks use thicker glass, and it is "low e" glass. It is supposed to be clearer. In addition the bottom glass is thicker. Also the rim and glass tops are nicer.

With that said, AGA has cheapened the Oceanic tank allot since they purchased them about 5 years ago. Some changes made sense, others were simply cost cutting measures.

hey can you PM me where you got the wood for your stand at, im looking for a little more exotic wood when i make the stand for my new tank (possibly hood)

Would you consider just drilling the tank? Would be cheaper and would leave you with more room. The dual overflows take up a lot of real estate.

Is the overflow kit just the stand pipes, bulkheads, and return plumbing?

I know the overflows are siliconed in. I assume the tank comes drilled with overflows then you pay $60 extra each overflow for the plumbing parts? I ditched all that crap. I couldn't get any flow through it, and got sick of fighting the bubbles from the durso.

Never bought a new RR tank. I really like the controlled siphon/emergency drain setup I've been running in my AGA megaflows the last year or so.

That's them. They have a stand pipe with a U to keep steady flow and reduce noise, they also have a float to stop flow when power goes out. Pretty pricey for pvc.

Roost89,

You might want to check out the C.O.R.A. web site www.corareef.org there is a 120 for sale with the stand. The guy is throwing in his wife with the deal. LOL (read the thread).

Worth a look.

I have a nice used AGA 120 RR with both overflow kits included. I also have a hand-made stand for it as well.I have just finished getting it cleaned up and ready to go. It is only two years old. Let me know if you are interested, I am willing to take any reasonable offer!
