cheato growing question

ok here's the deal. Since my cheato's been growing so well inside my tanks (fuges) and the area that i'm at, people can't even get cheato around here, most don't even know what it is. I was thinking about growing it in a tank just for that (7G acrylic) I already have all the lights and heater and powerhead, my question is how would i be able to supply nutrients to the cheato? has anyone done this? i know they use nitrate and phosphates with lighting but how would i supply that? could i use the water from one of my skimmers?

any ideas?
