Nice tank and your clownfish look good. Hard too beat a pair of ocellaris, especially the blacks IMO. Are you using freshwater gravel as substrate?

Yes I am..I'm also getting a load of ear for using it on this forum! haha But I think I'll be taking most of it out and just keeping a bare bottom. Do you know to tell once the fish have paired?

Yea, the fish will be together most of the time with little to no figthing, and share the same sleeping quarters. Those are signs that your fish are pairing up/paired.

Awesome! It's my first day and they havent attacked each other yet, no signs of fighting, and their swimming together and chillin in the same spots together haha

Can you guys help me out I'm looking for used/new t5 lighting (36'') I'm a broke college student and can't pay more than 220! Any help guys? I know I shouldnt be cheap with lighting but thats really all I can spend.

Thanks guys ..I was wondering if one of you can help me out I'm thinking about getting the Sundial T5 system made by Current USA..Any suggestions or advice? Thanks in advance!

The problem with metal halides is I can only have a mounted bracket ( I cant hang it from my cieling) And since the mounting brackets only come up 3'' from the water surface I hear thats not too good. Is that right?

I have a sundial t5 and the ballast went out on it in less than 3 months of use. I would go with MH but that is a personal preference. My MH is on mounting brackets also and run a fan over the aquarium and do not run into any problems.

You dont have to hang metal halides. They can be put on a stand over the tank just has to be home made of from Aquatraders!

Nice clowns! I have a pair of black misbar ocellaris myself and I really like them. They have a lot of personality.

I really like your aquascape. And not that you asked, but I think some white aragonite sand would be even prettier than a bare bottom. The sand helps with biological filtration, and it would help reflect the lighting a bit as well. ;)
