I don't have an actual pic of my guy but he's like the one in the big pic with the white stripes :)
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/oct2004/fish.htm

Got him at SITC (thank you guys!) and I can't believe that Marcye just had the perfect fish for my tank waiting around. I gave up the Foxface he was wayyyy too obnoxious for my peaceful little tank... even though he hadn't outgrown the tank, he was knocking things over and being a general nuisance when it was feeding time.

Now theres this little guy who looks like he was built for my rockwork and he was eating like a champ in the store. I can't wait for my lights to come on tomorrow when he's hopefully a little more adjusted so I can get an actual pic of mine. No name for him yet but what a really darned cool little fish :)

Marty's colors are absolutely stunning! Still no name for mine yet. Do you mind if I ask what yours easts?

I think mine is still too shy yet but I've seen him picking at pods - he ate well at the store so i'm trying to offer food around that same schedule of feeding but no luck yet. he's been in for a full day and already is peeking out from the rockwork.. I think he just needs a little more time to adjust

What great little fish! I will get a good pic of mine when he isnt being so shy :) With a name like marty I could name mine McFly or Biff ;p

Thank you for the compliment on Marty. He actually has been eating everything I put in the tank since I purchased him. I can always get my fish to eat with live brine, frozen brine, frozen mysis. He is a carnivore like most Wrasse, so one of these should bring him out. This is not their main diet but just some "feel good" food to get them comfortable.

I had to laugh when I read your sentence about naming. You my be to young but I named him Marty for Marty Feldman (Young Frankenstein) :D http://ourpla.net/cgi-bin/pikie.cgi?YoungFrankenstein.

With those bug eyes I couldn't resist - LOL. Oh, yes you must get a pic of him I can't wait to see your little guy!

So far we're considering naming this guy a few things but "Tom Servo" is my favorite so far. He's a robot from a tv show I watched growing up.

In any event, I got a few pics of this guy but he's literally camera shy. Go near tank without camera, he comes out of the rock and says hi. Hold camera near tank, he swims away and hides. What the heck?!

I love japanese mythology\history. I was trying to avoid a japanese name though since I already have Sakura II

chrisstie - he is beautiful! I love his markings, I wonder if he's a different species then mine or just different ages? Very very nice!

Chris - you come up with some great names. After I get some new fish, I'll have to post and have you help me name them - LOL.

There's a few different kinds- theres ones with just the 2 white stripes, theres one with the stripes on the face like mine, and then theres one with 2 yellow stripes

there's a different name for each but all are the Wetmorella something or other scientific name

Yeah - I was going to name mine "Kyu - pronounced Q", he's my sculpture instructor and he has this very smooth and just gentle demeanor to him. But then I caught the side of him and saw those eyes - Marty it was.

this is tom servo btw:

You can see the resemblance :)

My old foxface was named after a robot now that i think about it.

I really like that wrasse...so much so I ventured to SITC on Sunday and picked up the other one Marcye had. It went immediately into cruising the live rock and checking out all of the the crevices. I'll see if I can get a pic as well once it is comfortable. Thanks for posting. I would have never known about this wrasse and its perfect demeanor for the reef environment.
