Like Me No Nemo said thay are called Snowflake's. They are aquacultured clowns that come out of England. They typically run anywhere from $200 to $500 for a pair.

marcye, BTW Thanks for the Black Saddleback Clown. Donnie (big brother) picked him up last Sunday with a nice little orange Ric for me. I drove up and then drove back....the little guy didnt mind the 3 hour trip too much but looked a bit tired. At this point he is eating well, and after one day in a small tank adjusting I put him in the display, he went right for my LTA which the much larger female was already using as her home...she kinda looked at him a bit then didnt pay much attention to him. Now the sleep together and he stay withing 3-4 inches of her at all times. Just want to say thank for a beautiful little male with a great personality as promised.

They seem to be exactly like regular ones. This pair has more white than others I've seen...they really do look like someone took wite-out and painted them with it, especially around the eyes. Really crazy looking!!!

wow, now if we can create these in the Franatus species I would happy! My 12 year old female is looking lonely these days and needs and man!

Actually, being well versed in the genetics of different snake morphs, all of these percs that have been coming out in the last years are great but we really need to start working on some other designer species or some "true" genetic morphs. Can you imagine what a pair of true albino percs would look like?! these are the closest ive seen anyway.....

oh btw marcye... I purchased the smaller Nox pigmy angel a few months back. Maybe 2" if that? He's doing great! loves the tank, eats like mad and isn't shy at all! Hopefully I will be seeing you soon to check out the new locale...

I don't know if there is an albino morph in clownfish. In the wild, there is no such morph. From all the hundreds of breeders I talk to, not one has mentioned albino traits in their fish. Red eyes and pigmentation are the classic signs of albino, and in snakes, a 1deg switch causes the albino traits...no such thing found in clowns yet. Besides, the lighting used on an aquarium could probably fry an albino version anyways. Also, as they get towards the southern pacific(cooler waters, less sun) it seems that the clown species living in these areas are usually darker, i.e. the latz and Mcc's.

BTW, I saw Marcye's pair of snowflakes and I have never seen nicer ones. They are as white as they come. Very solid, not much orange poking through, which is commonly found on the snowflakes. All of the info given above is very correct on location and amount of breeders, but unless you are a wholesaler, you will almost never find a pair under $400. Wholesale, I think they run just a little under $300, so you have to take cost into account. Most clownfish, even most uncommon will not be sold on wholesale for over $100 for the pair, so the price is understandable.

If anyone is interested in investing $300 into me, I'd chip in the rest and buy a pair. It's just my broke student syndrome, or BSS, I have caught a serious case of.
