JIMO :mixed:i think the whole price per polyp on small corals like zoos is ridiculous...25-50 per polyp is insane,yet i guess people with lots of money can afford it...im still in shock at how much some common and somewhat rare colorful corals will fetch at some of these places,especially something as hardy as zoos.....i guess people pay ridiculous prices on some of these corals,so theres no need to drop prices....I think the prices are so freakin ridiculous because they realize that people will frag off and sell them at some point..the good news is the fact that maybe in the near future there will be no more drug dealers, as sellings corals seems to be just as profitable if not more...my 2 cents on my shock at how much corals sell for...this is a great, fun and healthy hobby,and people will take advantage of that fact.....p.s those are some cool looking zoos though...

That is the unfortunate side of supply and demand.

Seriously "Green with Envy" the fact there is a place called zoaID.com pretty much throws everything in the face of who can get the most creative sounding name to be accepted.

People pretty much can submit any name they want to ZoaID.
There's been joking about Doo Doo Brown and Alien Chicken Butt zoas
Newbies might get taken by "cool names", but people familiar with zoas know what's truly less common or rare.
Also, us California peeps are truly spoiled with our access to nice zoas and other corals.
For others, online is the only way to get stuff that we see in the LFS every day.

I saw a huge colony of these http://maggiesaquariumsupply.com/viewitem.php?it_id=286 at AG. It was like an 8" rock entirely covered with these for about $100. Probably a couple hundred polyps.

I like these ones. I know people that have trouble giving these away. Maybe it is just the picture but I don't see any blue. These are nothing like the purple death or green death protopalys. What a rip.
