I saw like yours today at my lfs about 5" DI they are active feeders, when sweeper tentacles are out spot feed some small shrimp or something will stay healthy that way

Most important thing is that the flow is very low. Red ones (like yours) need low light as well. From your sig, you've got a lot of light. Direct light - even in the bottom of your aquarium will probably be too much. Sand or rock: either is fine, so long as they are in low flow/light.

Should turn into a nice one. Like Acroporas said, the red ones like slightly lower light and they all like gentle currents. Yours is not demonstrating much inflation which I have seen as a result of too much flow. Should be puffed up like a pillow and drooping over the sides to where you can't see the shape of the skeleton. I have a metallic green one on a rock "shelf" in my tank and it loves it there, but most people keep them in the sand.

I have mine at the end of my tank in the sand. In the 6 months I have had it has doubled in size and eats like a pig.

thanks for the replys i moved it to the bottom of my tank so it is 30 inches down and in low current away frome the tunze

This is mine and there is a 20W actinic on the side of the tank right next to it. The other lighting is listed below.

He just got this coral. Most of them look like his in the begining. They dont start puffing up untill they are fed and happy.

I feed mine in the morning when the tentacles are out. Small pieces of krill, other shrimp, and fish. I feed it once a week and I use Kalk as makeup water.
