Check out this fish list?

Ok, so I have always been very sparing with my fish and space. I'm getting a new system in a couple of weeks that is roughly 200gal. I will also have a display fuge attached to the large display that is 75gal. My plane was as follows for fish.

MAIN REEF
Tangs:
Blue Hippo(Already Have)
Vlamingi(coming with tank)
Mata Tang(Already Have)
Blonde Naso
Achilles Tang

Dwarf Angels:
Potters Angel(Already Have)
Flame Angel(Coming With Tank)

Blennies/Gobies:
Starry Blenny(Already Have)
Diamond Goby(Coming With Tank)

Other Fish:
Australian Stripey(Already Have)
4 Blue Greed Chromis(Already Have)
2 Female Mandarin 1green 1red(Already have and Coming with Tank)
One Spot Foxface(Already Have)

Display Fuge

Pipefish:
3 Banded Pipefish
Dragonface Pipefish

Other fish:
Maybe some small gobies.

So all in all, It would be roughly 20 fishes with the largest being the Mata and the Vlamingi. Tell me what you think!

Hey Brett, It sorry for the late reply, its almost the size of your system (60",30",24"). Yeah I'm really excited to get this beast. Finally I can post my cool ideas in the large tank forums. I really hope that I don't overstock the system as it already has quite a nice reef going. Trying to find room for my SPS colonies on top of the already existing colonies is going to be a challenge, but I might get some nice frags from the move to share with all the local Tucson reefers!

I have never kept a mandarin or pipefish but have researched it quite a bit and I would be carefully with that many pipefishs and 2 mandarins. Idk if there would be enough copepods, or you'd have to let the tank mature alot before adding the pipefish.

Honestly, you'll want to rethink your entire tang list and choose species that are more suitable for the tank size, which you said was 5ft long? Mata, vlamingi, hippo, and naso get way too big, the achilles really needs more space to do well. You should look into the Zebrasoma (excluding sailfin) and Ctenochaetus groups.

Yup, I had a 280 measuring 72/30/30 and my Vlamingi got to big for it very quickly. Hippos get huge as do Naso's and Mata's so I would rethink the list. I am planning a 360 100/30/28 and I will not be doing a Vlamingi again.

Five feet long isn't nearly long enough for the tangs you listed. The closest would be an Achilles, but they need six feet (minimum) with a whole lot of flow.

We have a 6 foot tank right now for our achilles and are already upgrading to an 8 foot just because of the amount of space the achilles takes. They swim "a lot" and also grow fast, ours grew 2" in a little over a year and is already almost 7".

Those are great Angel species, but I'm not sure they can live together. If you've had the Potter's for more than a year, I congratulate you!

I think those tangs could work IF you get a STRONG gyre flow around the tank. Similar to a hamster wheel, it has the effect of lengthening your tank.

Can't wait to hear more!
