ok I got this fish in Jersey and it is suppose to be very rare it is called a checked swallowtail anthias. It is huge and has lots of character. I checked online and it is a rare fish not found in stores very often. Let me know what you think.
Well he is eating but he does exactly what the article I read on these fish do. He does not like the bright light from the halides so he perches under my monti cap and when the lights dim at night he gets more active. he is a cool looking fish and I am suprised that when I put him in the tank nobody even tried to mess with him. I will give u an update later
Ya they are deep water japenese anthias so they probally like it alittle colder to.... It could just be alittle spooked from the lights and hopefully will come out... atleast its out were you can see it and not back behind some rocks.
