Also the most expensive at $599. Enjoy.

Lighting I'm sure plays a big effect. I'm sure that purple is probably more brown. Not worth that cash imo. But to each their own. I've seen several tear drops and all the color antics.

jay24k, I'm not doubting you on the color play up. But I would figure that for 600 dollars, the person buying it would more than likely send it back or complain or something if it did not live up (or at least was comparable) to the picture.

That is true but many of the vendors that do the lighting tricks will take a strong stance and say if you want that purple, you need these lights. I'm not saying all but quite a few.

That's why I always ask for a flash picture. It's easy to compare my flash to your flash once I receive the item.

I've seen in person clams that do like that. I had a beautiful teardrop that looked like that but blue instead of brown. Unfortunately, it is no longer around....

"There is nothing special about that clam. I wouldn't pay more than a hundred for it."

I would like to see your idea of a special clam :)

You are kidding, right?? This is a special clam. The question is what is the right price. But that again is in the eyes of the beholder.

No I wasn't kidding. I just don't find it especially attractive. At least not for 600 bucks. I don't know what it is but what ever happened to all the nice blue maxima clams?

Check out www.******************. They have a zebra maxima for $599 that sold the first day. They also had one of the ORA Green Duncanopsammia that everyone at MACNA was going crazy over.

As for the teardrop, that is a nice clam but not worth the price. I've seen them locally for around $200.

Rommel (runs Ult Frags) is local to me. His pics are accurate and untouched. Good person to deal with.

IMO, that is a rarer clam. Anybody who does not think that it is not rare have not see enough clams. Beautiful or not is depends on the person. I would not spend 600 for that clam, but I am on the cheap side.
