I'm doing a little maintenence on my tank and while I was looking at the sump a fish swims up to the glass. The first thing I though was how the heck a fish made it through my overflow standpipes but then I didn't recognize him as any of my fish in the tank. Apon closer inspection I could tell he/she was a tiny yellow watchman goby, half starved by the looks of him.
I've had a watchman for several years and he's been solitary so no offspring here. I did want to get him a companion to possibly pair with. I can't quite remember when I got this little fellow but I'm sure it had to be last year sometime and he dissapeared that night, I think.
It's amazing he's made it so long. I managed to net him after using some food for bait and put him in my refugium for the time being. He's way to weak and small to put into the main tank. What freaked me out a bit is it reminds me of a reacurring reef dream I have where I find another tank in my house that I completely forgot about and the fish (mostly) are still hanging in there and I feel so guilty about leaving them. :)
Check out his picture in my gallery.

About 4 years ago I lost my ball python. One day, whoops, no more snake in the tank. I lived in a huge house with 5 roommates. Lots of searching was done and we still didn't find him. :(

So 6 months later we moved out. I decided to clean under the washing machine and dryer, and pulled them out from the wall. You know that hose that drains the washer, that goes into the wall? Well, that hose was hissing at me. There's my boy, fat, sassy, about 6 inches longer, and looking like he just had a nice shed. I spend hundreds of dollars on his little climate controlled habitat and he does better hangin' out in the laundry room. It was at that point that I realized reptiles are too easy to keep.
