Check your auto shut off valves

Just a reminder to check your auto shut off valves if you have your unit permanently installed. I was doing some re-plumbing when I found that my auto shut off valve wasn't stopping my waste water. I have no idea how long this has been going on but it could have been forever meaning that I have been constantly running water down the drain. I am now on the hunt for a flow switch to tie into my Apex to alert me when water is flowing.

You know my water bill has been a bit higher than usual, I wonder? So how do you know if its working, by removing the waste line from the drain pipe, and then what?

Yeah all you have to do is remove your waste line from the pipe while the RO/DI is OFF there should be no water coming out.
