Thanks for the Compliments on the Aquascaping.. Its about 50LBS if LR...

So your tank is lit by a single 250 DE? Wow it looks bright.. I have two ROIII Pendants that I will use with 250DE bulbs.. I thought one would not be enough light.. Guess I was wrong

Cheers,
Henry

It's not a DE bulb although I have the option to change in the future. I'm really concerned about temperature so at this moment I'm not planning on adding a second MH.

I had the same thought about temp but I have been running a Open top (No Canopy with Lights hanged from ceiling) and I have had no problems with Temp..

Henry if I was running an open top and had central air I wouldn't hesitate to add a second Halide. Right now I don't have any SPS although I'm gonna try to add a couple of frags in a bit so will see.

I get much better results from using multiple bulbs. Not neccesarily the greater amount of light, but from the multiple point sources of light -which greatly helps out with self shading issues with my sps'.

There is much to be said for the inclusion of linear-type lighting (VHO, PC or T5 lamps) in your lighting package, especially if you're planning on sps'.

Yeah I need to get rid of some of the LR in mine I think. I must say the one thing I do NOT like about these cubes is the lack of space under the stand. Makes sump/equipment storage....difficult.

I agree thus far Chin_monster. With the 130w of PC's as a supplement I see no shading at all in the tank. I'm sure it's because I really spread the rockwork and the fact I only have 75lbs. of Lalo and Fiji. My plan was to keep my LPS and some softies on the outside edges and put the SPS frags towards the middle of the tank under the halide, so will see how well it works.

I wouldn't change a thing PaintGuru, I think it looks great.

I agree. I really wanted to go with a larger sump so I could make a refugium but unfortunately it wasn't possible.

Here's more progression pics:)

The sump needs to be better organized but this is the best I could do for right now.

Thanx Bob !

It thought it looked a little sparse. I will probably add an additional 20 lbs. unfortunately the funds are a little low so it will have to wait. I also have some rubble in my tiny refugium so hopefully it'll carry me through until I'm ready.

Well I bought a couple of fish, an Orange Anthias don't remember the Latin name and a two-spot Goby I also rearranged the rocks again.

Cheeks, you have done alot of work since you started. are you tired yet! I think you have done a real nice job.

Thanx Eric, triplecrown and lebowski ! :)

I started on friday night and didn't finish until monday of course I got some sleep in between...my back is killing me.

I wanted to move the livestock quickly and I also had some sponges on my LR that I didn't want exposed to air for too long. It took about a week to prepare all the plumbing and electrical work before I made the switchover.

Somehow some of the pics were erased inadvertantly. Oh well:(

Awww that goby is so CUTE! Yeah I need to get rid of some rock in mine...maybe then my 2-6080 Tunze Streams will do something useful ;).

The tank looks awesome Eric ! That Bubble is a monster:eek2:
You also have one of the fish I want a Purple Tang !

Is your tank RR ? It looks like you have two overflows.

Yep! overflows. Did not know about RR tanks 3 years ago. O-Well, someday i will grow up to be just like everyone else.

Thanks for comp. MONSTER BUBBLE

Now back to those awsome cubes!
