Love The Fish
I've been looking for this fish for over a year. Bluezoo put them on their list but never actually got any in stock. If anybody can help or even share any experiences with this fish please post or PM.

Are you signed up for the LA DD email? I know they post them from time to time. I think that even had one up semi-recently.

Prettier anyways. Not settling IMO

I disagree, but I own a Muelleri, alothough I do like the Marginalis also. The Muelleris have a lot of yellow flourescent specs on the white side area & the blue rim around the outside edge highlights the back fins. The stripes are highligted in bronze yellow. Unless you've seen one of these guys in person under reef lighting you can't appreciate them.

As far as availability, I believe it has to do with the fact they don't live where all the other Aussie fish & corals are collected. They come only from Queensland in mud flat areas. It probably takes a specific trip to capture some of them.......maybe not worth it for most collectors/divers.

I think I have a lead on one but its a large fish. Ive heard these guys acclimate better at smaller sizes. I will have many types of food available along with blackworms. I need some advice, should I hold out or go for it. Ive been looking for so long its hard not to go for it. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra but I just want a heathy fish. Please help me out with this.

If it is a good source, why not give the fish a try (particularly if it is eating)? You have waited a long time and there don't seem to be a lot around. I think the medium size fish tend to acclimate better, but it is really up to the individual fish as many small and medium-sized ones don't make it. Plenty of people only want larger fish and it works out ok for them, so there is no reason to think it can't work for you.

How big are you thinking 5-6"?

As Dr Colliebreath said it is up to the individual fish. I've had medium and small B/F's refuse to eat and die within a week of receiving them. I'd go for it if you know the fish is eating well.

Definately go for it..................mine was 5" when I got it. They aren't like normal CBB..........Muellers are much easier to get eating if they are healthy.

Mine ate mysis an hour after I got it. They love raw seafood......shrimp, scallops, & clams are 99% of the diet I feed. Just make sure you freeze everything first than chop into bite size pieces.

Hey Ed, I found out the fish is around 10 cm. Pretty big but Im still excited. The order should be in the states on Thursday. Thanks for the tips. Let me know if you have any other pointer for me. Where's the pics at. LOL

Does this mean you are getting it? If so, congrats! :celeb1: Do you get it on Thursday or Friday. 4" doesn't seem too big. Make sure to post pics.

I might have to take a trip to Australia one of these days and get one myself. :)
