chem-pure or carbon

does anybody use this stuff in there tank.i heard its good to use to get toxins out of tank aersol sprays use in the house to clean.

I use the big carbon whole house filter in my tap water to remove chlorine which it is good at. Chemi-pure has two or three advantages over most activated carbons. 1. It is already wet. It is hard to wet activated carbon. By the time the carbon is actually wet in a filter, its surface has been blocked by debris and most of it is never used. 2. The resins in the Chemi-pure mix absorb toxins that carbon is not good at absorbing. 2.5. It is already in a filter bag so there is minimum mess and no unwanted dispersal.

I run carbon to more or less to aid in removal of dissolved organics and to remove any possible toxins released by softies.

I have used both and other than price they seem to work the same.
