added chemi clean to my aquariam waited a day then did a water change now my skimmer is going crazy.will a poly filter help or do i need to do another water change

I'd just do another water change, or open up the air valve on your skimmer and let it foam its way out. Chemiclean tends to make the skimmer go crazy. Did you do at least a 20% water change?

yes i did 25% water change and also added a bag of carbon

it will stop and go back to normal in a day or so!

you need to do another waterchange...and then put the skimmer cup on, and if it fills up dump it and keep doing this till the skimmer cup can stay on
