Chemi-pure

for one, my water seems much clearer. also, the water seems to be virtually odorless. it says it lasts up to 6 months but i'm thinking i will replace mine every 3 months. :P my levels have been much more stable with the chemi-pure in the tank as well.

*note, i only have a 25g tank so my results may differ for those with larger (or smaller?) tanks.

i have used the stuff for about 1.5 years, and i swear by it!

even though it says on the bottle no water changes ever needed still do the water changes and replace it every 3 months depending on your waste load

sorry, long day at work, idk why i said 24 hours.
i mean 3 days... at least thats what the kent carbon that i have says not to use it for more then 3days. and i have read that running carbon for long periods of time starts to remove trace elements. true or false?

False. Even if it did, your weekly water changes will replenish any that are lost. I run carbon 24/7, changed monthly, with very positive results. From what I've seen about Chemi-Pure in the Chemistry Forum the jury is out. Some say it's worthless and others swear by it. GAC and GFO are tried and true. ;)

Chemi-Pure is AWESOME! It instantly polishes your water making it crystal clear. Also I notice my Alk and PH snap into line if I am having issues with them after adding Chemi-Pure. MUCH better than plain carbon.
