i have a 65g and a 20g plumbled together with the 20 having mostly zoos, soft corals, mushrooms, and lps.then the 65 has just sps.now they share the same sump but both are filtered through micron bags.could the softies be spreading toxins that could irritate my sps?and if so whos bad a spreading toxins?i heard somewhere shrooms do that, but im not sure.hope this made sense thanks

rig something up so that the water comeing out of the softy tank goes through carbon. might just do well with carbon in the sump.

this should remove those nasty chemicals

Sinularia is reputed a particular problem. Zoas can be. Mushrooms aren't: I have a few hitchhikers butted right up against my digitata, which doesn't seem to care in the least, nor do the mushrooms. [Discosomas.]

I have disagree, I know mushrooms killed a branch of digiwhen the digi got close enough to touch. they were pimpled shrooms. I don't think zoas can play chemical warfare to another tank, imo they can only irritate sps via contact.

to the op, yes, I believe with a heavy softie population there might be a chance of toxins affecting sps, but as said, run carbon and you'll be fine.
