Chinese black box light

Got a 10 gallon reef. Mostly softies and a few LPS in there right now. Using two 23 watt cfls right now looking to upgrade. Thinking about going with a 165watt marsaqua led light from amazon. I just don't know if this would be too much light even on the lowest setting. I just don't want to get a 20in t5 hood just to end up putting in the closest in a few years if I upgrade. I figure the black box is pretty future proof. Same thing with going with par38 bulbs. It would just be a waste of money if I upgrade at some point. Anyone got a Mars aqua over a 10 gallon? Is it too much?

I have considered that as well but it's so new that I haven't seen much in terms of reviews and growth with that model. Not sure how well it would preform with a 20 in tank. Also if I upgraded to a larger tank I fear that I would not have any use for the a80 anymore. Seen any decent reiews on it?

That SB light looks excellent on first glance I will have to look up more about it. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

won a set of 2 180w black box leds on ebay. i havnt paid for them yet because im not sure about the company that makes them. i have a friend that uses the mars aqua brand 3x over a 125 and has great results with sps. the colors of the light are great too. real blue. but i am not sure about this one, there arent as many blue leds and only one spectrum of blue. if anyone could possibly shed some light on this:cool: thatd be greeeeaaattt thankss

these are the specs. oh and i would be using this for a 75 with nems. probably going to be a fish only. but i would like to use these lights for corals if plans change...
