Chinese black box/reefbreeder photon owners!!

Hi RC. I am wondering how far up to hang my fixture. Right now I have it at 9inches but am worried that the bulbs are not giving an even spread. I do not know if my leds are 90 or 120 degree optics either.

How high are yours?

I have my reefbreeder proton on the legs that came with it, I do think a few more inches would be better. but I have a canopy so was the best option. I think 9 inches is ok

Mine are at ten. I removed the lenses (or optics, idk what it's called) from the Reds and greens for more spread, I like it better now. Before it was like spotlight patches of those colors.

I have taken mine apart to clean/dust it. Are you able to take out the optics from the reds and greens? Do you just remove the whole led? When I had it closer to the water line I saw spotlights of green on my rocks.

I followed instruction in the mega thread about marsaqua lights in the lighting section of the forum. A guy named Isaac had a video. If you can get them open to dust you can totes pop off those spotlight things.
