Chinese Blackbox LEDs

220 gallon = 72″L x 24″W x 30″H, right?

Based on my experience with 180, 2 x 32 reef breeders photons would definitely support softies LPS and SPS. To cover entire tank you can use hanging kits to elevate fixtures above DT.

Good luck,

Mike

Hi Mike,yes,correct dimension,I think that I have to use hanging kit if run 2 of this 32 reef breeders photons,does it has leg?

Thank you very much

One manual there said Aurora, the lamp function is same as you said, three channels, moon light , blue and mix channels, my LPS love them , i got it half one year ago,till to now. I see many guys get it and show their vedio on Yotube , you can search for them. hope this can help you.

Sounds good,watched the video on Youtube,setting timer is super easy,but I have a question about the AURORA timer light,when loosing power and power returns,does it keep previous setting to OFF or ON?

Thank you.

I just tell you my tank
my tank 4feet length, 2.5feet depth, 2 feet width, not sure your tank is similar with mine. total around 200gallon.
i use two Aurora with timer and dimmable, cool white , voilet, blue , red,green( i do not know why they put green there, moon light( i like this design so much , it is cool , you know , at night time)
i have some photos but i do not know how to post it.
i purchased from amazon, if you need, here is the linakge;

Yes, the new Photon 32s have legs.

The service on these lights is amazing. I have done everything but smash them with a sledgehammer, and each time I explain to Logan what depredations I have inflicted on his fixtures, he sends me a pre-paid FedEx label and returns the repaired fixture to me within days. I have been keeping fish since I was 10 years old, and in the 55 years since, I have NEVER come close to experiencing the level of service that Reef Breeders provides. Anyone looking for an LED fixture for a reef tank would IMHO be a fool for not considering a Reef Breeders Photon fixture.

Mike

Great service,I enjoy the legs on the fixture.

Hey jimmy2014 and Abbott xu,Does the AURORA timer light have same service?

Thank you

ok,2 of the AURORA Timer-165w lights came in so fast!3 channels,whites-blues-moonlights,add 2 red 2 green 2 uv on the white channel,they are work after setting time by remote,but it has a little brace shadowing, how to fix the problem ?

Also I will buy 2 of 32'' 300w ramping lights for my 220g tank,maybe Photon 32.

I set mine to ramp hourly. I have the white channel set to about 25% less than the blue channel. This is my schedule and the corals seem to like it. granted I am only dealing with a 24" deep tank, lens removed and the LEDs are approximately 6" off the water. The nice thing with the ramping is I can adjust it anytime.

W = White, UV and Colored LEDS
B = Blues
M = 5 moon light blues

0:00 = W=0 B=0 M-0
1:00 = W=0 B=0 M-0
2:00 = W=0 B=0 M-0
3:00 = W=0 B=0 M-0
4:00 = W=0 B=0 M-0
5:00 = W=0 B=0 M-5
6:00 = W=0 B=5 M-10
7:00 = W=5 B=10 M-15
8:00 = W=5 B=20 M-20
9:00 = W=10 B=30 M-50
10:00 = W=15 B=40 M-50
11:00 = W=25 B=50 M-50
12:00 = W=25 B=50 M-50

I don't know of anyone locally who goes to full power. the highest I know of is a guy who goes to 80% with his.

From talking to the people selling the blackboxes, you lose about 20% by removing the lenses (it spreads out more and isn't as concentrated). So you need to bump the intensity a bit to adjust for that loss. I removed the lenses to get some better coverage as well and dropped the light closer to the water and haven't seen anything upset with either lack of light or to much light, with the change and I didn't change my schedule other than adding the moonlights at 50%, and that was to more for a bit of color change. The schedule above gives me a color I like... a small change on the whites has a big change on color so give it a few percentage points at a time and see what you like. Also I know of several people who run thier moonlights 24hrs a day.... I like a little dark time in my tank... that's just me.

Awesome!!!

Thank you so much.

My sunrise/midday/sunset is pretty similar to drauka99. I do a 3 hour midday at 40% white and 90% blue. And I took my time acclimating my corals to get to that level. My tank is mostly sps and some lps.

Any one else find it weird this colorful1180 guy keeps posting pics of different tanks and keeps trying to sell everyone on this AURORA box? Lol

Who says 'AURORA Timer-165w' every time you talk about your light?
