You get this one set up hazard would love to know how it works and setup for controller and do you have all colors on one channel ( at least that is how it looks). I have a reef keep elite would i still be able to control with this controller

I contacted Simon and put together a link for myself last night. Just ordered it today. Moonlights + LCD controller + 0-10v dimming drivers to mod for an Apex is too good of a deal to pass up for me for $255. Here is my link.

There is also a $5 off coupon for Aliexpress. (code is: 15noorder20120614)

Thanks for the link. Think I will get these ordered as well. Can't beat free shipping!

It's not really free. The light itself is $189 + $59 shipping charge +$7 aliexpress fee.

With that said, you can see how much of a bargain it still is compared to many US sellers. All they are doing is ordering bulk amounts of lights like this and reselling at a much higher price.

It looks like they are using one driver and parallel strings of leds. This would mean that you can't dim/adjust color channels individually... which kinda sucks, but isn't a deal breaker.

You would have to modify the internals of the light to connect to your Reefkeeper VDM module. The Reefkeeper will only control on/off as/is. The internal lcd controller on the light can do the sunrise/sunset.

Bhazzard. How would you do the lights on this d120.

Put green and red and uv with the whites or with the blues. 3 channels. So last one could do like 3 royal blues for moon lights

What happened to all the links that were left here for Alibaba? None are working.

The customized orders change constantly, and they dont always keep the links that are specifically made for each order.

Looking at the company page showing all products is the best way instead, like here: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/top-rated-products/317880.html

You don't have to order specifically what is there. You can customize the light any way you want, you just need to email them.

Depends if you like pure white or not. I would throw the colors on the white channel, because white is so overpowering anyway.

Someone has one from here. They are basically the same as the Nova units mentioned here, except that the Nova is dimmable, and the Apollo is not.

Bhazard,

In my conversations with Lyn at Twilight he informed me that they added a third dimmer for the moonlights. I think the charge was $3.00, which he said was to cover the cost of the small dimmer. They then just use 3 of the 55 lights as moonlights. See if you can get your order amended to add the extra dimmer. It should allow you a lot more flexibility and not do much for the price.

Good to know, thanks.
