Finally got my light from Twilight today after about 3 weeks of waiting. I must say I actually quite like it. I did take the 60 degree optics off it though as it wasn't lighting my whole tank and I now know what you mean about them not being glued on Bhazard just as well I have no intention of putting them back on as that would take a very very long time. so anyway this is what I got:
Aluminium case, 60 degree optics, 3 channels
1> First channel for white (mix of 6500k and 10000k) 25pcs (15pcs 6500k & 10pcs 10000K)
2> Second channel for blue and royal blue 27pcs (10pcs Royal Blue 460nm & 17pcs Blue 440nm)
3> Third channel for moonlight (royal blue 460nm) 3pcs

I don't think they have put the two different blues in though as they both look exactly the same. Also when I am programming it I can only do it by the hour but the instructions say you can do minutes and even seconds, is anyone else having the same problem? this is how I have it programmed at the moment:
Channel one (blues):
1000 - 25%
1100 - 60%
1200 - 100%
1900 - 100%
2000 - 60%
2100 - 0%

Channel two (whites):
1200 - 5%
1300 - 85%
1500 - 100%
1600 - 85%
1700 - 55%
1800 - 0%

Channel three (moonlights):
2100 - 80%
2200 - 55%
2300 - 5%
0600 - 15%
0800 - 80%
0900 100%

How does that look? I tried to take pics with my phone but they just looked purple, I will try with my camera tomorrow.

Well done Zoanut. I have all 4 of my Twilights on and I am quite impressed. Had a chance to play with them today.
Channel 1= 14 White 20000K,6 white 14000k 2 red 630 nm, 2 green 530nm, 1 uv 400nm
Channel 2= 21 blue 470nm, 6 blue 440nm,
Channel 3=3 blue 460 nm
My program is as follows;
White Channel
0900 0%
1400 60% light ramps from 0% to 60% by 2pm
1700 85% light ramps from 60% to 85%
2000 20% ramps from 85% to 20%
2100 0% ramps from 20% to 0%

Blue Channel
0800 0%
1400 (2pm) 60% blue channel ramps from 0% to 60%
1900 60% maintains 60% from 2pm to 7pm
2100 0% blue channel ramps from 60% to 0%

Moonlight
0100 5%
0800 5%
1400 70%
2100 5%
2300 5%

The electronic timer works relly well, the lights are very quiet, i still have the 60 degree optics on and have left them up high as i have room because the tank is in the wall.
I had two lights on alongside my MH (only one MH was working) and the MH looked quite yellow and dull( the lamp was 5years old).

I have taken photos and will read up on how to post them.

This is a before and after, the left hand side in the first image is 250W MH and rh is Twilight Led, 2nd image is 4 twilight leds.

I am not sure which image is first or second, LH image which looks yellow is the MH v Led photo.

[/ATTACH]I am starting to get the hang of this.

Nearly the same shot before and after or after and before.

The colour is certainly a lot fuller and the green tinge to the anemone is a lot more pronounced under the LEDs.

Very happy so far, may have to lower the intensity a little, they are very strong lights.
Cheers

Your halides would be alot brighter with a new bulb if it is 5 years old like you said. Regardless I'm pretty happy so far with mine and it is actually pretty bright. Maybe your one was a dud one bhazard?

I had been a happy little reefer for 6 years and then recently discovered this forum and realized there were a lot of things I didn't know. I never new it was critical to update lamps etc. I have two 2x250w MH light fittings, one lamp in each fitting stopped working and due to the heating and power issues started to think about LEDs as an alternative.

Now I have leds and I am very happy.

With your program zoanut just check that they don't turn on at funny times, with my program I had to make sure the first and last line for each channel was at 0% if you want it off. After last night waking at 4:30am to find the lights ramping up to 0800 at 20% or whatever you had set.
Cheers

Yeah I noticed that after I posted this and have made some changes. Did you notice that even with the moonlights at 5% they are still quite bright, wish we could turn them down to 2%.

Just looking at mine right now and they are at 5% and yes they are a little bright. I might turn two of the lights off and just have two lights on for the moonlight. Last night I had one light on and the fish went to bed where as right now they are still a little active, will give them another half an hour and see if they put themselves to bed.

Hoity, would be interested to see how they laid out your leds. Can you please post a pic of your light? I saw in an earlier post that you had emailed me looking for a layout. I have not received that email, but what layout were you looking for?

Its a mix of a dud and bad ratio. They used all cool whites and didn't mix in any lower k ones, and the 2:1 ratio is much too blue not to do that. Add on the fact that they put all the reds on one side, and 1 uv led that does nothing, and it looked awful. The fact that they would not fix it ****ed me off even more, so I had to buy leds on my own to install. Once I install the new leds and when Evergrow makes their controller/light, I'll be selling the twilight one. I refuse to support a company that would make such a crap light and not support it, and I would never deal with them again.

The controller only works in hours for me.

That shocks me that they would not help you with your light. Lyn was great in helping me get mine fixed. I am sending them my current lights and they are building me new ones per a layout I send them. Who were you dealing with? I do agree with you that there was absolutely no thought as to the layout of these lights. You have to tell them what to do otherwise you will be screwed!

I bought a light from my LFS the other day and I have been very impressed so far. I paid about $75-100 more than from one of the websites that everyone has been talking about, but mine came with a 2 year in store replacement warranty so I thought that was easier then emailing and shipping back to China. I am pretty sure my LFS just has the company in china put there little logo and sticker on them and its the same light, but like I said I was only buying from them because if I ever have an LED go out I can have a new light on my tank in less then an hour.

Here is a pic of my new light.

It is 1:1 white 14,000k and Blue 455nm

I will say it is a lot quieter then the Innovative Marine LED tablet that I had on there. A lot brighter too as the IM tablet I had was only 30W and the new one is 165W.

I'm torn between two of the d120's and two of the kessil a350w's for my 75G....not too worried about the cost diffierence as its only around $300 difference. Any suggestions as to which you guys would choose and why?

$300? Two Kessils would cost $800. Two d120s, with optics, and customized, would be around $350. That's a $450 difference unless you got a great deal on the Kessils. That's enough to buy a Kessil along with them. lol

If my lfs did that i would do the same thing in a heartbeat

Is royal blue evergrow's standard "blue" installed, if not specified to them when a light is ordered? Also, what is the standard blue spectrum, 460nm?
