Chiton?

Good morning, new member, I've lurked for a long time looking for answers and info to different questions I've had. A lot of great information to be had here. I've researched and feel pretty positive this is a chiton. My question is this, it's large and knocks things around and over. I'm not too sure if we should leave it in the tank or get rid of it. I don't believe it's harming anything other then rearranging as it goes. Here's a phot of the guy and a phot of our tank. 220 gallons. We have it for 3 years now.

Hard to tell from the picture you provided but if you google chiton you can compare pictures to see if that's what it is. Do you have a sump? If so you could relocate it to there

You need to post a better picture, can't tell anything from that first one. Here is what a Chiton looks like.

It's hard to get a good picture it's only out in the dark shining lights on it it moves quickly it's a good 2-3 inches long. Plates on its back.

There aren't many creatures that meet the description you are giving. The most common are Stomatella snails, Chiton and Limpets. That picture doesn't remotely come close to being any of these.

I'm sorry but you're going to have to get a better picture. Maybe take it out of the tank and put it in a bowl or something.

I've never seen my chitons move quickly, so I'm doubtful. They are so slow you only know they moved because they are in a different place in the morning.
