Chloramine Filter in Your RODI?

Do you use a chloramine stage in your RODI filter? I have chloramines in my water (like a large portion of the population) and have always just used a standard setup with sediment, carbon, membrane, and 2 di cartridges. I don't seem to have any particular problem with the membrane and DI not lasting long, but I thought of adding a chloramine stage after the first carbon just to be sure.

How many use a chloramine stage??

I am but I am not necessarily sold on it just yet.

You would put the chloramine block before a .5 micron carbon block, not after.

So far it looks like the best thing I have done in the battle against chloramines is remove my booster pump. That took the flow through the unit from .5gpm to .17gpm. This gave me 3x more contact time at the cost of production speed. Well worth it.

My LFS uses it because of the high amount of chloramine added to the city water (information found on the city's website). You could check with your city and make the call from there. My personal one at home doesn't have the chloramine filter and I haven't had a problem though.
