Chloroquine phosphate removal

Not sure if anyone else has read the post available online, but there was inconclusive evidence that carbon removes chloroquine. My acrubber didn't grow anything for a whole week. I throw carbon in there and 24 hours later. Boom algae growth. Just wanted to let people know thanks. And btw chloroquine phosphate disassociates itself from the phosphate eventually. So a phosphate remove probably won't help..

Thanks for the confirmation. I've had success removing it with carbon as well.

alprazo has stated running a UV also removes CP.

Running your reef lights along with carbon should denature and remove CP rather quickly. IME it takes about a week or so. Poly-filter will also remove it. Use a high-quality carbon for best results; I use BRS ROX 0.8 for what it's worth.
