Chocolate Chip Starfish: Just How Reef Safe?

Will they eat my mushrooms? (please!)

Will they eat my zoanthids (they better not), or any of my other corals or inverts?

Anything else I should be concerned about?

They are fantastic as food for hungry Harlequin shrimp, but not reef safe at all. I do add them regularly to my reef, but the shrimp don't give them a chance to sample the local fare.

IMO, they do not belong in a reef aquarium. They were good food for my Harlequins and that was about it...

Just as a side note I do remember Andrew (montipora) got one to get rid of his mushrooms,, sad to say for him it turned out to be reef safe.
