:worried: Alright, so since i'm in the planning stage for my 120 gallon (48" x 24" x24") reef, I need to decide on my lighting, which I have no knowledge on, at all. Does anyone wanna share some knowledge to help a newbie out? If you can keep the lighting in the $300-$600ish price range that'd be awesome :D. I'm going to be keeping mainly soft corals.

Thanks, guys!

You won't get a lot of answers because your question is too vague. If you only keep soft corals you won't need much. You could accomplish this with T5, MH, LED, PC, even VHO. Your price range won't be too limiting and you can find choices for each type of lighting within it. I would look at as many tanks as you can with different kinds of lighting, in person. Pick the look you like best and then the members here can steer you in the right direction as far as specific brands, wattage and number of bulbs or LEDs you will need. We just need more info. Lighting is an extremely subjective subject.
