Christmas Party

Mel confused her own husband with Matt's name :)

Randy, I dont know how to cold-water fish, tried too many times with no sucess. When the dogwoods bloom we're going top-water and crapie fishing! That much I have learned about fishing around here.

Matt,
Yeah when I looked at it, I thought it was a long nose gar instead of an alligator one because the snout was long and thin and the alligator's is much more broad thus the name. There are something like 7 species in North and Central America. The long nose are common and have a black lateral stripe and often have more spots than the alligator. If it is an alligator gar that is a rare find.

Matt (and Mrs. Carberry):

Thanks for hosting and glad we finally got to see the setup! Truly amazing and inspiring! Just wish I had the time and patience...

Mel~ Great Pics!!!! I think we should light fireworks at every meeting... lol :D I already asked Ashley to get another one... They were out, which is why I kept that one... ;) She said there was a lobster one the other day... I'll have her check to see if there's another one tomorrow when she goes in...

Wow, lots of pictures. Thanks for posting those Mel! I guess Brent and I do look a lot alike :D

Someone had asked about the 2nd generation fish that I was working with. I did start a thread in the FBF a while back with a pic for anyone interested:

You sure did!

Matt, did you copy my AV? :furious:
Nope, I had it made for me by a fella in the Santa Hat thread (I had it last year too!)

i agree with the fireworks motion.....i would love to bring them to every meeting....it was a blast....thanx for hosting matt!!

Oh my god...I did confuse my own husband's name with Brent's!! That's horrible!! I was thinking that "man I gotta get that picture up of Matt conducting the fish! It's great."

I guess that's where my mind went.

Thanks for bringing the fireworks Jeff! That was awesome.

Also, I got my scooter!!! Well I have the ok to have it. See the other thread (for someone to help me go get it).

Anytime Chris (all us ETRC people should sign up for hats!), so...that reminds me!

I actually thought about us hosting in January but then I saw that you all are going to the frag swap in Nashvegas(which unfortunately I might also miss:( ).
I just talked to the wife and she is up for it( I think) but it would have to one of the earlier weekends before the swap. Which I guess would be good because it wouldn't interfere with that. LMK what yall think.

Chris

That's totally hysterical...your santa hat avatar!

I think we had decided to skip the January meeting in lieu of going to the swap, but I am also totally fine with having a meeting earlier in the month. Whatever you guys want to do is ok with me.

Chris you can't host in say February because you will be back in school?

Yes but we would be happy to host early this summer if January doesn't work out. With vet school, 2 kids, a house and three old vehicles, not to mention 2 reef tanks and the wife working weekends, I just don't have time during school.
