Christmas Tree Coral (Sphaerella spp)

Just want to share my experience with this coral... Not very popular with reefers, I am not sure as they are pretty easy in my opinion.. I have 5 different color of them in my tank, Pure Black, dark brown, ligt brown, yellowish and pure white... And the longest one is the black one and should be more than 6 months and is opening and closing daily..

The rest are also doing fine but I notice the do not open at the same time but takes turns to open and close..

This is one of them.. The yellowish one..

I picked up one of these from the lfs I work at about two weeks ago, and noticed it was always open at different times of the day. I work nights at the hospital and it was open yesterday morning when I got home. My lights dont turn on till around 4.

Either way I love it, and have been looking for a black one.

It took me sometime to wait for a black one... But got 1 eventually, although there are are a few in the shipment but was my first so did not get more... But was not there any more when I had success with the first one..

Are there any specific requirements for these corals? what are your recommendations for feeding? (if any)

They seems pretty easy to keep for me... Even thou my sand dollar kept digging one of them up, I placed it at another location and it still open up.. It is broadcast feeding from my recipe, no target feeding..
