chromis bothering clowns

Kigs

In Memoriam
I have a pair of clowns in my tank along with a chromis. The chromis is always hanging out around them, at times trying to nip them. Nothing serious...just kinda getting annoying. Any explanation for this?

Sounds like they're just trying to establish the pecking order.
My chromis used to go into the nems themselves(weird) until my maroon adjusted that.

chromis has the ability to go into anenomes? that is weird.
they are both in the damsel family though aren't they?

wow, that's amazing! the LFS I used to work at fed the dying chromis to anenomes, I never thought chromis could "host" in them.

the chromis started to do this ever since he lost 2 of his mates. I guess he's just lonley.

i have 2 black percs and a reef chromis and my chromis just wants to school with the clowns and the male always puts himself between the chromis and the girl i think its kinda cute that he is protecting his woman but i have never seen them nip he just keeps and eye on the chromis and keeps him away from the girl and the chromis feels happy cause he has a school to swim with

I completely redesigned the aquascape, so now the chromis sorta hangs and sleeps by himself. He will still bother the clowns every once in awhile though. I'm thinking of getting two tiny chromis for him to school with. The only problem is he is about 1 1/2'' big, and most chromis I find at my LFS are 3/4''. Would this be a problem?

chromis by nature are super peaceful they just need to school its in their dna they are liekt he kid that would always walk up to you and say hey hey hey what you guys doing just cause he dosnt have a friend awwwww
