Recently I picked up my second programmable timer from chrontrol. I have two tabletop XT models a 2-outlet and a 4-outlet model (CD models do not have white marks under the LED display - and are more than 25 years old). In total I think I spend about 10 dollars per outlet including shipping off ebay. I use the outlets to program my lighting, my skimmer, level-loc, return, Osmolator, and water change pump. Three keystrokes turn circuits on/off, where appropriate I have set up programs, for example, to turn on/off a circuit and count down a specified time period before switching back to their normal state. One program can interact with another one. I have the WC program turn off the return pump, and the skimmer for two hours before returning to their normal behavior when the water line will be high enough to operate in the AIO chambers.
Not a full blown controller but gets the job done without having to fiddle with much.
