Cinnamon Clown

I had my female Cinnamon Clown for ~10 years until she died recently. I have seen a lot of conflicting things on lifespans for these. What are others experience? I bred her the last 3 years and I wonder if that was just too hard on her so I am debating about getting a replacement mate (which would be male since the existing male will turn female).

Until I sold them, about a year ago, I had a mated pair of Clarkiis for 12 years. They spawned every 2 weeks, so I don't think the fact that yours was spawning played any role in its death (( sorry about that )). When I sold my pair they showed no indications of slowing down, and could have seen them living another 12 years.

One of the lfs that I worked at right out of high school had a pair (tomatos) that were about 14 yrs old that spawned every 2 or 3 weeks. That was 11 yrs ago and they still have them and they still spawn reguarly.
