Anyone keeping a male with two females? I would love to hear your experiences. I'm planning on keeping a trio with mostly angels and butterflies.

I'm in on this one too. I have a awesome Vanautu male I have been looking for a few females for. Everybody is out of stock of the female pink margins. :(

they would be a great addition to your tank . i do not have personal experience with them but they are beautiful and are considered a community fish . a male and two females will certainly work too !

wow did you see the pink margin male last night on DD ? i was tired and forgot to see if anyone from RC got him as he sold pretty fast .beautiful specimine !

I received 3 today with the larger one at about 3.5" and the smaller females are 2" and less.

Is the larger one a full female or you can see signs of changing to male?

it still is a female no signs of it changing yet..but give it some time i would think it wil be the one to change into a male..glad to see someone get a trio of these i have been looking into a trio myself..very pretty nuptial colors by this fairy

Thanks for the reply. All 3 looked the same but had to ask because I was told that one of the 3 females I ordered wasn't doing well so I requested a male to substitute as I wanted all 3 to go in the tank at the same time. I was going to get a invoice for the $30 difference but never saw it today. Online status shows a male was shipped with the discounted price which is same price as the female.

I don't mind having all females as I enjoy watching fish go through the sex transformation but I wanted to be sure of what I got.

Thanks again!

I finally got to see all 3 last night after they been in for 13 days. Every couple of days I would two of them and actually thought one of them was dead. I bought two other females (4 & 4.25") from the lfs, one of them died the same day and took the other one (in another QT) 10 days before swimming around. I must say they are easily stressed. I think it's going to be a while before I transfer them together. So far all are eating mysis.

I'll work on pictures after they settle in more.

Thanks Reza, The larger female is really pretty and I can't wait to see what a male will look like with 2-3 females. I'm surprised I didn't come across them earlier.

Where did you find the females?

My male is identical to the one they sold on DD a few weeks back. It's hard to get a really good picture with my basic digital camera but here he is:
