CL 125 super skimmer not working

I have had this skimmer in my sump for almost 2 years and it has worked geat. But since my recent fire, I had to put the skimmer on the back of the tank and I just can't get it to create any skim.

It bubbles like it did previously, but no skimmate.

I also took the pump off and made sure everything was clean and tight, but nothing.

any ideas?

Check and see if the bubble diffuser is nice and clean. Usually if it was shut off it will take some time to get some of that slime to kick into full gear.

is the bubble diffuser the round cylinder that the airtube is attached to?
Because I blew into it, to make sure it was clean.

yea. also soak it in water.so your saying its making nice bubbles but no skimmate?

Then yea just let the skimmer run a bit longer to get some slime build up, and it should start to skim.

Could be hours, could be days.

Hmm. How high is the water level in the neck of skimmer? Thats weird...

I would just take the venturi off and on, just to make sure.

upper part of the neck, just below the neck screw.

Try skimming wet. Make it rise around 1/2 an inch under the tip top of the neck. Careful because sometimes these damn skimmers overflow when you skim like that.
