I was talking to Paul today from OM on installation of a 4 way. He recommended not using the revolutions because it would clutter the tank and recommended this way to plumb.

Om installation

Since i am new to a big tank and i dont even have it yet since i cant order it until i get the size and locations of the holes that have to be drilled. What would all of you recommend that have installed or seen an OM system in action. The only thing i have for my tank is three Lumenarc III reflectors. Tank is going to be 72x30x25

Check out my OM4way plumbing. Click on my red house.

Thanks for the link but unfortunately the military server here blocks photobucket so none of the pictures will load.

Do you think one OM 4 way on a Dart and a Dart for the return pump from the sump/fuge would be enough flow for my size tank?

Chris

I've got my OM4 on a Dart. One 2" intake centered on the back glass about 6" off the bottom to center. The four returns are 1", all on the back glass about 4" down from the top to center. They are spread out evenly along the back between the 2 external overflows and the two 1" seaswirl returns from the basement. I also went with the flex nozzles, I didn't want to because I wanted to keep the tank clean from the powerhead look, but I wanted directional flow control .

I think 2 Darts, with one on a OM4way will provide plenty of flow. That's about the same flow rate I have.
So you can't see any photos on the threads that come from photobucket???

Photobucket pics don't show up because photobucket is a blocked site. I did go to the internet center here yesterday and checked out your system. I like how you plumbed the OM unit above the overflow like that. I think that i will do the same. I also liked the loc line and the ability to change the direction of the flow at any time. So i am thinking of doing that for the closed loop and then four returns towards the top of the back glass like Tony13 did for the sump return. Does that sound like a good plan? And what drum did you use?
