Clam assistance please!

I have had my T. Crocea for about 4 days now. It has been doing good, but now it seems to be having white stringy substance coming out of what look like to be holes at the rear of the mantle. The mantle looks great and is fully extended. I am keeping it in a 14gallon with a 150 W MH bulb on it. I do weekly 10% water changes and this is the first problem i have had in the six months i have had it running.

Please help!!!

sounds like the bysal threads, which isn't a problem as they can let them go. please post a pic.

by "hole", do you mean one of the siphons? clams do shed matbolic waste and sometimes zooxanthallae from they siphons, but it is not usually white. Please describe better.
