Clam cage or netting for viewing?

I was wondering if anyone is keeping clams with some sort of protection type netting to keep clam eating fish (Angels) from eating it.

I was thinking of some 1cm wide black netting used on fruit trees and koi ponds.

you will find excessive algae growth on your clam shell. the better way to go is to remove the clam eating fish. i use an acrylic shield sometimes to protect the clam when they are very weak.

and if you dont keep the netting clean the algae will cover it up
