Clam dieing?

They call me EC
I have had a clam for about 6months. It has been growing like crazy and its mantal is huge. About a week ago I had some algae go sexual and cloud the water. It happened about 7pm when the refuge lights came on. The water was clear by the next morning. Everything in the tank has come through it just fine other than my clam. Its not opening up like it should. Its mantal is barely sticking out of the shell. Is there anything I can do? Do you think it will come back?

Let it recover, It might have uptaken a lot of the floating matter from the algae. I wold be more concerned if it were gapping rather than closed.

I figured out what the problem was. It wasn't the algae like I thought. There was a tiny Apstaisa (spelling?) on the lip of his shell. I removed it last night and he is back to his former glory this morning. I don't know who feels better, me or the clam. Thanks for the help.
