Clam got snailed!

So I was out looking at the tank tonight after coming back from a trip. Everything looked great except that I found quite a few snails on my squammie. I took him out and scrubbed him down. Besides being diligent (which I am/will gladly do for George...if you haven't named your clams, then shame on you ), is there anything else that I can do to eradicate them? I'm actually a little excited about this; it gives me first hand experience! Thanks guys!

what tyope of snails. I assume you think they're pyram. snails. If so, you need to scrub at least once a day for a good while. But the also may be harmless snails. My tank crawls with little mini-trochus snails every night after dark.

i had some spiral shaped white snails then i tried to remove it but it just reproduced and killed all my 4 clams,take immediate action,try yellow wrasse or sixline

Jmaneyapanda: from what I've seen in articles, they appear to be pyramids. I'm going to do just that! Just keep scrubbing!

Already have one, been in the tank for over a year. Thanks for the advice though. I'm pretty sure with these snails it's scrub scrub scrub and keep a diligent eye.
