clam help

good day all. i need help regarding my clams and yellow tang. i have a 2 1/2 inch hyt that keeps on nipping on my crocea's mantle. it does this all the time as soon as it runs out of nori in the veggie clip. any ideas why it is behaving this way and how i can prevent such behaviour.... any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

you cannot prevent it anymore other than try to feed it as much as possible to make sure it stays full. If it still nips, either the clam or the tang has to go.

thanks boxerz will try to feed the hyt as much as i can. since it is going to be a problem trying to catch him. i would lose the hyt rather than the clam. clam has been with me for a year now and i absolutely love it....

When a tang figures out a clam is yummie he will not stop untill its dead. Only way is to remove one of them. Boxerzz is right you can get a new tang that might never peck at your clam. good luck

+1 the tang needs to go for a ride on the porcelain express. JK it really needs to go though.

yeah been trying to catch him since yesterday but to no avail. hes too damn quick. i might try to get one of those fish traps. since enticing him with food and trying to net him is proving to be futile. the tang really has to go. thanks for all the advise guys.

You could ways get some of those light dufusers and encase/protect the clam until you get the fish out. Just and FYI
