Clam ID with picture.

hello all, i went snorkeling in florida off of the gulf of mexico and i foun this little guy. i didnt relize he would be so active and pretty until i got him in my tank after awhile in my quarentine tank. if anybody knows a name of this clam it would be helpful to me. also im curious what it would eat, maybe just phyto?

sorry for the picture being so blue. i dont know how to clean it up to make it look better. but it does have very dark blue dots along its mantle that glow under my halide.
 
Its not a clam, its a scallop. Non-photosynthetic, unlikely to do well. Scallops have a very poor prognosis in captivity as they feed on very specific sized plankton. You can try phyto and cyclops and stuff, but they have a terrible track record, 6 months is usally all they last.
 
thank you for the quick replys. i will try some various food sources to keep this thing alive. it is actually vary cool looking and has been vary active since put into my tank.
